Sunset Fall Session at Ankeny Wildlife Refuge + A Super Fun Family

When I met this family in the parking lot, I knew we were going to have a good time! The ages of their kids is one of my favorites and their son is so much like my own with is energy level and how he tries to get people to laugh.

If you want your kids (and you) to enjoy your session, just let them be kids and I’ll photograph all their silliness and get those hugs and snuggles in between. I know it can be so annoying when your kids are extra, but I promise I’m laughing and going with it. I’ll get the best photos if they are just playing together and with you.

Ankeny Wildlife Refuge is such a great place for a session with the many opportunities for backdrops and the kids love exploring. Not to mention the gorgeous light we got at 4 in late October!
