Newborn Session + Newborn Film
I have a photo framed on our mantle of our two girls, then ages 4 and 2, meeting their newborn brother for the first time. It's a terrible photo because I had someone else take it, but I can see the absolute delight in my girls faces. When I see it I can remember the feel of their scratchy dress up dresses they had on, the sunglasses on my 2 year olds face (always upside down), and how we were sliding off the bed because the girls were toddlers and didn't know how to not sit on Mom. ;)
Now I see how a family film of this moment would have made this an even greater memory. I can see their little hands touch the top of brother's head, how they ran to me to see me after a 3 day hospital stay, the movement of their princess dresses while they sat on the bed. And their little voices.
I love offering these films to my families and seeing the entire piece come together as one artful expression. Stills + Films. And family from afar can share in the joy too.
