Eugene Family Photographer: A Family In Home Session for a Home School Family

Rachel (Mom) answered my short questionnaire prior to her session to help me get those moments that she wants to remember from her kids' young home school days. She told me she wanted to have photos of reading to her kids, baking a cake (She is an avid baker and sells her beautiful cakes), doing her girls' hair, the kids jumping on the trampoline and playing with their gecko.

I love that I could cover these activities, and get the in between moments such as the kids playing dress up and playing the piano. It's one of my favorite photos I've ever taken with her son playing the piano while her daughter sits in the window, quietly watching. :)

If you think these sessions need to be full of exciting activities and moments, I promise you don't need those to create art from her life's narrative. We can do those fun activities such as a beach day, pumpkin patch, but the in between is also my favorite.
