A Newborn Session + A hike

When I began chatting with this new Mama and she told me that they wanted to make their infant session in to a hike – I was GIDDY! I love when I have families who are up for anything and want to think out of the box for their newborn sessions. I’m honestly up for anything. I want to showcase who YOU are and if it’s a hike, then let’s do it! If it’s a quiet afternoon as you feed baby between diaper changes and trying to eat, I want that too. It’s so important for me to tell the story of what makes your family who you are.

We chose Mt. Pisgah and they brought their two dogs because their dogs mean so much to them, and as a dog person myself – I loved it! When I know how much animals mean to my clients, I really try to get them in the photo and show how they are a part of you.

We set out on the hike, they stopped for short feedings, playing fetch with the dogs in the river, and then laid out a blanket for a longer feeding and diaper change. They were so easy to just be with and chat. My job is such a joy!
