A lurking thunder storm + a beautiful family at Finley Wildlife Refuge

When I drove up to Finley Wildlife Refuge and saw the gorgeous July sky with dark clouds and sun (perfect storm weather), I quickly texted the family and told them that I changed my mind on where to begin their session. We were going to start in the open field with the dramatic sky in the background (and I was going to just HOPE it doesn’t pour rain). I was giddy! And I couldn’t have been happier with the images I got with the sky and tall grass (they were troopers walking through the grass!). We made our way from the open field to the old white home and followed the sun as it was setting. That’s what I love about Finley. Working with the hills and buildings and I can utilize the gorgeous sun as it sets in diffuses through trees and the hills. I know it’s February and we will probably get a nice old ice storm soon. 😉 But it isn’t too early to book your family session for the summer. My schedule fills up quickly and this way you get first dibs for a date that works

for you. Go here to fill out my contact form and let’s begin chatting about your session!
